# STATUS_ROTATE_Y

*LSL constant*

integer STATUS_ROTATE_Y = 0x4;
```

Constant groups: [ObjectStatusParam](/constants/groups/ObjectStatusParam/)

This property (set [TRUE](/constants/TRUE/) by default) allows physical rotation on the object's local Y-axis. Setting to [FALSE](/constants/FALSE/) prevents physical rotation around the local Y-axis. For example, a sit-and-spin device spins around the Z axis (up) but not around the X or Y axes.
