# llApplyRotationalImpulse

*LSL function*

```lsl
void llApplyRotationalImpulse(vector force, integer is_local);
```

- `vector force`: Rotational impulse vector to apply.
- `integer is_local`: Boolean. If TRUE, the force is treated as a local directional vector; if FALSE, it is treated as a global region vector.

- Energy: 10

Applies a rotational impulse (force) to a physical object. If local is TRUE, the rotational impulse is applied in local coordinates; otherwise, it is applied in global region coordinates.

Applies rotational impulse to object.

```lsl title="How to use" frame="terminal"
llApplyRotationalImpulse(ZERO_VECTOR, 0);
```

## Caveats

- It does **not** work on attachments.

## Examples

<details open>
<summary>Example 1</summary>

```lsl
default
{
    state_entry()
    {
        llApplyRotationalImpulse(<0,5,0>,TRUE); //Rotates object.
    }
}
```
