# llFindNotecardTextCount

*LSL function*

```lsl
key key llFindNotecardTextCount(string notecardname, string pattern, list options);
```

- `string notecardname`: Name of the target notecard.
- `string pattern`: Regular expression pattern to search for.
- `list options`: A list of options to control the search (currently unused, should be []).

- Returns: `key`
- Energy: 10

Searches the text of a cached notecard for lines containing the given pattern and returns the number of matches found through a dataserver event.
