# llGetMinScaleFactor

*LSL function*

```lsl
float float llGetMinScaleFactor();
```

- Returns: `float`
- Energy: 10

Returns a [float](https://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/float) that is the smallest scaling factor that can be used with [llScaleByFactor](/functions/llScaleByFactor/) to resize the object. This minimum is determined by the [prim scale limits](/reference/limits/#building).
